Genrec leadership team appointments

Tienie Brits joins Genrec as operations executive

Tienie began his career as a junior civil engineer with Steinmuller working on the Majuba contract in 1987. Four years later he qualified as a Mechanical Engineer.

Tienie brings with him a wealth of experience in quality management, estimating, project management and business unit management acquired over a period of 20 years at Steinmuller.

Tienie remarks that except for a short stint on Mozall II he has worked in the power industry his entire career and this experience will prove invaluable in Genrec's future. His new role in Genrec is to oversee the company's project management team and he intends to install a common system within the group while creating an environment for self motivation.

Tienie also intends to improve client relationships.

Graham Hartley appointed Works Director

Graham brings to the team his experience in maintenance, castings, fabrication, machineshop and process equipment built up during his years on the mines and at Scaw Metals and Batemans.

He believes the challenges within his new role at Genrec to be the increase in capacity requirement as well as streamlining workflow and installing productivity improvements. Graham has a mechanical engineering degree through the University of Cape Town.
